In addition to the programs, courses and services offered in Play & Learn L.A.'s Family Resource Center, we will be offering programs, courses and events in the Play & Learn L.A. Galleries. Some of these will include:
Book Art Workshop using the Creativity & Literacy Galleries Homework Time for students in grades 3-4 using multi-use rooms Music & Dance traditions using the Music and Dance galleries Storytime at the Literacy, Theater and Toddler Galleries Children’s Art & Writing Contests using the Creativity & Literacy Centers Family Nights in the entire Children’s Museum part of the Center Talent Showcase using the Theater Gallery Pajama-Party Nights in the entire Children’s Museum part of the Center Creative Crafts for Kids using the Creativity Center Gallery

I think it would be very beneficial to incorporate kinesthetic math activities -- projects that demonstrate how math is used in both practical and fun ways (not that practical math isn't fun, just give students a different exposure to the subject than their classroom math courses may allow).
